Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Austlen™ Baby Co. is an exciting growth-stage start-up in the juvenile products industry. We are seeking to fill our digital marketing and social media manager position with a positive, enthusiastic, talented person who drives for results, has a strong work ethic, and can both create and execute. Our digital marketing and social media manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s online presence, digital marketing campaigns, and social media content and development, with the goal of increasing Austlen’s online audience, community and engagement. This position requires a hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment with diverse responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with director of marketing to develop digital marketing and social media strategy and plan
  • Implement activities per the plan including online and social media campaigns, which engage and expand customer awareness, understanding, enthusiasm, and adoption of company brand and product lines
  • Cultivate brand loyalty through online initiatives that elevate and connect customers with Austlen
  • Manage and grow Austlen’s online presence through company website and social media channels
  • Monitor and improve Austlen’s presence on all authorized retailer websites
  • Develop and implement social media editorial calendar and online campaign roadmap in line with overarching sales and marketing strategy, calendar of events and initiatives
  • Create impactful content, posts and messaging in line with Austlen’s brand and voice that engage audiences
  • Monitor and moderate all online conversations and user-generated content, tracking trends in topics and questions, and involving relevant Austlen teams as required to resolve customer support issues
  • Manage content and design of Austlen’s website by working with web team to ensure accuracy and reflection of brand, refreshing testimonials and replacing product descriptions, photography, and other content as needed
  • Understand, recommend and implement organic versus paid digital marketing and social media tools and initiatives
  • Measure results and track learnings for continuous improvement
  • Manage multiple projects and deliverables to successful completion under tight deadlines
  • Work with external agencies to develop digital assets, including creation and editing of social media posts, online advertising and promotional assets
  • Execute promotional partnerships and co-marketing activities across Austlen’s online platforms
  • Monitor industry trends in social media, acting as the subject matter expert within the brand
  • Investigate, understand and recommend social media monitoring software to ensure accurate analysis and reporting to improve future engagement
  • Execute against digital marketing and social media KPIs that measure effectiveness of online promotional campaigns, advertisements, social posts and brand outreach
  • Execute special projects and attend Austlen events as needed to support the busines

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, online marketing, or other related field
  • Minimum 3 years of digital marketing, social media, and community management experience with consumer goods – wholesale or retail
  • Possess a deep understanding of how to engage audiences through creative content and impactful messaging and an in-depth knowledge of current and emerging social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, YouTube, Periscope, Snapchat, etc.)
  • Ability to turn marketing strategy and objectives into successful online executions
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and drawing conclusions to improve future activities
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a relentless drive to do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • True team player who collaborates, takes initiative, and prioritizes team over self to achieve goals
  • Curiosity and appreciation of different people’s views and opinions
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple priorities
  • Experience managing creative marketing, website, and advertising agencies
  • Knowledge of online retail
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Previous juvenile product experience preferred
  • Working proficiency of Photoshop preferred
  • Travel of up to 20%
