The Stroller That Saved Our Zoo Day (Psst...It's The Austlen Entourage!)

We absolutely love, love, love our Austlen Entourage stroller.

We recently took it to the zoo for a full day outing with our 3-year-old and newborn, and honestly, I don’t think the day would have gone nearly as smoothly without it.

For the first time, everyone was comfortable, organized, rested, and happy by the end of the day… including me.

The best stroller for long days out

Zoo days are no joke.

You’re walking for hours, carrying snacks, drinks, extra clothes, diapers, and somehow still trying to keep everyone comfortable and entertained. Usually by the end of the day, someone is overtired, uncomfortable, or melting down.

But the Entourage handled everything beautifully.

It carried everything we needed, and both kids were able to rest comfortably whenever they needed to. That alone made it the best stroller for long days out in my book.

The best stroller for kids with a bigger age gap

One of my favorite things about this stroller is how well it works for kids at completely different stages.

My older son loved switching between the front seat and the Sit and Stand, depending on how he felt. Sometimes he wanted independence, sometimes he wanted to sit and relax.

Meanwhile, my baby could ride in the front seat or rear infant seat depending on what worked best in the moment, especially when naps were involved.

That flexibility is exactly why I’d call it the best stroller for kids with a bigger age gap.

The best sit and stand for active toddlers

The Sit and Stand setup was such a huge win for our zoo trip.

My older son loved having options and felt like such a big kid riding on the jump seat. We even adjusted a cup holder down so he could easily reach his drink while riding.

The independence it gives older kids while still offering a place to rest is amazing.

That’s why this is easily the best sit and stand stroller we’ve used.

The best double stroller for family adventures

Everything about this stroller just works together so well.

The snack tray kept snacks organized and easy to reach, the storage pockets kept important items nearby, and the cup holder was a lifesaver for this thirsty mama walking around the zoo all day.

Most importantly, both kids stayed comfortable enough to actually enjoy the day.

That’s what makes it the best double stroller for outings like this.

Features that made it perfect for the zoo

Here are the features that really stood out during our zoo trip:

  • Sit and Stand option for an independent older child
  • Flexible seating configurations for naps and changing needs
  • Large storage capacity for snacks, diapers, and essentials
  • Snack tray and cup holders for easy access throughout the day
  • Storage pockets to keep kids’ items organized
  • Smooth ride and comfortable seating for both children

It truly felt designed for real family outings.

What we packed for a zoo day with a 3-year-old and newborn

Here’s what we brought for our full zoo day:

For the newborn:

  • Diapers + wipes
  • Extra outfit
  • Bottles + formula
  • Lightweight blanket
  • Pacifiers

For the 3-year-old:

  • Snacks (lots of them)
  • Water bottle
  • Small toys for breaks
  • Change of clothes
  • Hat + sunscreen

For everyone:

  • Portable fan
  • Phone charger
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Parent coffee/water bottle
  • Extra snacks for survival 😅

The Entourage carried it all with room to spare.

A stroller that made the whole day better

At the end of the day, what stood out most was how easy everything felt.

Both kids were comfortable, everyone got the rest they needed, and we were actually able to enjoy the experience instead of constantly managing stroller problems.

I honestly can’t say that about our previous strollers.

If you’re looking for the best stroller for long days out, the best sit and stand, the best double stroller, and the best stroller for kids with a bigger age gap, the Austlen Entourage is absolutely worth it.
